VERSE 1

Behind my back, they used to laugh

in -fact in front of my face, they’d actually laugh

until they saw me on stage, kicking arse

when I put them in their place with a couple of bars

If only they knew I was trying to use

the few limited abilites I had in my grasp

never quite near the top of the class

a complete lack of understanding for spelling and graphs

It’s all colour and class and pigeon-holes

but this little pigeon went missing sick of the role

anything had to be better than getting the dole

or sucking at the jobs on the bottom of the pay role

cel la vie, never trying to be

anything other than me, depsite what they might

have thought, it’s all talk, I now deal in talk

Who would’ve thought? I get paid to speak

VERSE 2

Zippo, slick with the flame

Grandad with the gold zimma-frame

eat dinner on spinny-rims, no plate

Holyoaks goes Holywood and Broadway

Braggadocious, most precocious

sick in the mouth like halitosis

If I didn’t do it, no one would notice

every job that I had I was hopeless

Pale body, a little bit awkward

slight speech-impedimanet when talking

metronone shoulders bop when I’m walking

facial features degfault to gawping

Used to think that bragging was boring

till I tried it, and I liked it

ignited a fire for bull-sh*itting

went Zippo with the flame and modesty went missing
